Product Tip

MFC recommends SureSill™ Integrated Flashing System™ for windows and doors as it eliminates the need for complicated sill corner flashing.

Mold is the end result of water intrusion into a building's framework. Evidence from investigations and evaluations of many water-damaged buildings suggest that the most prominent place for water intrusion and mold to occur is around windows and doors.

Water accumulates both at the top of and underneath windows and doors due to weather, wind and humidity and without a proper flashing system, water can intrude into the structure itself. Even a little water can cause enormous damage including rot, decay and ultimately mold.

A SureSill™ Integrated Flashing System™ is a simple solution to an enormous problem. An IFS™ helps eliminate water intrusion problems such as these in a simple and cost-effective way. In fact, it would be much cheaper to install SureSill for the every door and window in the home than it would be to repair one leak in a home.

SureSill™ Sloped Sill Pan Flashing and HeadFlash™ Sloped Head Flashing for window flashing and door flashing are premium window flashing and door flashing products on the market, designed to exceed 2006 IRC and other Building Code requirements, ASTM Standards, AAMA Guidelines, and acceptable trade practices for window flashing and door flashing installation.
