Tom Baker joined Myles F. Corcoran Construction Consulting, Inc. in 2009. Current duties include conducting site inspections, analyzing blueprints, writing reports, preparing cost of repair estimates, drafting and specifying repair designs, investigating and reporting on both Plaintiff and Defendant cases, investigative testing, and research projects. Skills range from detailed inspection to thorough photo documentation to writing clear inspection reports. California Contractor License #599962, Class B-General
Building. International Code Council (ICC) Certified California Residential Building Inspector.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
The Skylight Place, Inc. (1999-2008) - Project Manager/Estimator. Developed and led the replacement and skylight division. Sales, estimating, blueprint reading, and project management, focusing on windows, skylights, and mirrors for contractors. Provided product information for customers in showroom. Obtained certificate from Velux for skylight installation.

Spacious Living Construction (1982-1999) - Estimator/Project Manager. Began employment as journeyman carpenter, working in residential new home construction, as well as remodels, additions, and light commercial work. Was promoted to lead carpenter, superintendent, then to estimator, and project manager. Produced fire and water damage estimates for insurance companies. Provided estimates, performed destructive testing in construction litigation cases.
Various General Contractors (1979-1982) - Carpenter. Worked on new homes, additions, and remodels from foundation through finish work.
Balbuena Construction (1977-1979) - Carpenter. Started as laborer/apprentice carpenter. Became proficient in basic construction and carpentry skills working on all phases of new home and light commercial construction.

Construction and Energy Management courses in International Building Code.
